Motors.co.uk combines with Dealer-Auction.com to help lead generation
A couple of years ago, we teamed up with Dealer-Auction.com, the UK’s largest auction site offering stock exclusively from franchised main dealers and dealer groups. The partnership allows dealers to quickly secure funding for their newly-purchased vehicles, meaning they can get the stock they need, when they want it.
Fast forward to earlier this month and it has been revealed that Dealer-Auction.com has integrated with Motors.co.uk in a bid to help dealerships sell their cars faster.
As Car Dealer Magazine reports, the move will help dealerships generate leads even before they have received the vehicle. They will be able to list newly-purchased stock on Motors.co.uk and Flex dealer websites at the click of a button, meaning that dealers who ‘win’ vehicles through Dealer-Auction can upload stock to their listings straight away.
Phil Jones, managing director of Motors.co.uk, acknowledged that the sooner a car is listed on the web, the quicker it will generate interest – and culminate in a sale. He added: “This integration means dealers can immediately put their cars in front of 5.1m used cars buyers through the Motors.co.uk network and on to their own Flex website.”
Phil went on to explain that the merger will save dealerships an average of seven days between the purchase and listing. “This will undoubtedly help dealers save time and generate more sales, and is just the start of how Cox Automotive brands are working more closely together [to] support our customers.”
Operations director of Dealer Auction, Kieran TeBoon, commented how his company has grown over the last eight years by placing the UK’s best sellers in front of its best buyers.
“We are now extending that by making our buyers able to market the stock they win on Dealer Auction’s live auction on the best platforms for selling retail stock provided by Motors.co.uk. What’s more, we have been able to make it as simple as just clicking your mouse and it’s ready to advertise,” he explained.
With over 80,000 trade vehicles sold through Dealer Auction to 4,500 independent dealers across the UK, getting the cars to market in a shorter time means that “everyone’s a winner,” said Kieran.
We think the partnership is great news for used car dealers. Not only can they purchase the stock when they want through NextGear Capital’s flexible Stocking Plans; but they are able to advertise and sell their vehicles in less time, hopefully leading to a more efficient, profitable business.
