NextGear Capital kick-starts fundraising efforts with Easter Café
NextGear Capital, wholesale stocking specialists based on Chester Business Park recently announced West Cheshire Foodbank as their nominated charity of the year as voted for by their team members. A project founded by local churches and community groups, the foodbank works towards stopping hunger in the local area.
Hot off the heels of their charity selection, NextGear Capital hosted an Easter Café which attracted local businesses in search of breakfast and afternoon treats. Successfully raising £231 for the foodbank, Emma Greenwood, Operations Coordinator, who attended the event commented ‘It’s brilliant to see such enthusiasm from the fundraising team at NextGear Capital and every donation helps in our drive towards tackling local food poverty’.
In the lead up to the café, baking rivalry saw delicious carrot cake cupcakes, crème egg cheesecake, bounty bars, lemon drizzle cake and more emerge ready to be sold to the eagerly awaiting members of staff at NextGear Capital as well as the surrounding businesses. When all was sold and tallied up, the team were delighted with their efforts and are already planning their summer event.
